History

Insurance Association of Kosova – IAK was founded on April 2002, based on agreement of Insurance Companies which are licensed to practice their Insurance activity in Kosova.

Association was founded with an aim to improve the Insurance Industry in Kosova, to assist in the stabilization of the Insurance market, to offer education for the staff of Insurance Companies, and to increase the human resources in general, in the insurance field.

Another priority of the Association are the organization of the different, seminars, workshops, and conferences, national and international ones, and to deal with the information of the public in the field of insurance in general. Activities of Association and its goals are determined with its statute and its foundation Act.

Entrance into the Association is open for all Insurance Companies which are provided with license to practice their Insurance Activity in Kosova.
Association represents the general and individual interests of its members.

Association is composed from the following departments:

• Department of Compulsory Insurance Unit – CIU
• Finance Department
• Department for MOU, Reinsurance and External Affairs
• Training Department
• Department for Public Relations and Marketing
• IT Department (Information Technology)

Responsible for the welfare of the activities of Association is its Executive Director, who is elected from the Associations Board of Directors.
